Opis
The book Cogito Alchymicum: The Alchemy of a Symptom really came about unexpectedly. As an author, I am often surprised by the creative process that underpins the emergence of a book, the making of which is always somewhat mysterious. We are accustomed to thinking that a book is in fact made by a wordsmith who is the responsible author of it. However, this may not be the whole picture.
It was one early morning in early October 2023 when I set foot on the lawn in front of my apartment in Frangokastello on the Libyan Sea of Crete. My intention was to start writing the next book in my series on the cogito. After Cogito Coniunctionis, The Four Dimensions of Man’s Perception, Action and Creation, immediately followed by Cogito Methodum: The IPAL Method: The Creation of an Individual World and Man’s Transformation, and Cogito Imago Dei, The Image of God beyond Jung and Artificial Life, I thought I would be able to write a work about the individuation process itself. Individuation has developed as a central idea in my work on cogito thus far since the individuation process, which always stands in a relationship and containment of a human individuum in the collective, really describes what man in the Age of Aquarius is all about. Aquarius is first and foremost a human being, and the humanistic symbol of the New Era seems quite fitting for its description.
